Hey Y'all!

The fact that you are sitting there reading this means the world to me. I was born September 7, 1976 at Good Sam Hospital in West Palm Beach and raised in Jupiter, Florida by two of the most Amazing parents in the world, Betty and Walter Arrington. They have been married since 1969 and have always given it their best shot to teach us the value of a dollar, the importance of Honesty and to Give 100% at whatever you do. I have 2 brothers as well, Albrey, who has a PhD. in the study of Fish, Ecology and Biodiversity; and Gabriel, who works with my Dad in their bobcat business. They’re both avid Outdoorsman and I am proud to call them my brothers.

As a youngster my Passion was outside. If Mom was looking for me she always knew where to look...the "Backwoods" where I'd be huntin' Dove, Quail and Rabbits with my pellet gun or single shot .410, or the "seawall" where Albrey and I would be taken turns casting a Zara spook fishing for jacks, snook and ladyfish or over in the neighbors yard where I'd be chasing Snakes & Lizards or eatin' oranges off their tree. Oh! we had some serious football and baseball games in our front yard as well, yes sir, life in the Arrington home was far from boring.

My Mom is responsible for getting us into fishing. She stayed home with us kids and took care of the house while dad ran his bobcat Business (Walt’s Bobcat). On days off of school and during the summer Mom would load us up in her ole' dilapidated Datsun 210 and head for Dubois Park, down near Jupiter Inlet. On the way we would swing by Jupiter Bait and Tackle to get a pack of #8 long shank hooks and a tub of Frozen shrimp. Next stop was the French Connection, we would order a foot long Roast Beef Sub with everything but hot peppers and split it 4 ways. When mom had enough money she would splurge and get us 2 subs. Once we got there, I would hi-tail it' to my favorite fishin' hole. It didn’t matter what I was fishing for I was just happy to be there and believe it or not all the way back then I would pretend to be on tv. I guess It was my destiny!

October 23, 1983 I was 7 years old and in a flash my life was changed forever! While ridding my Honda 110 ATC I was hit by a car. My left foot was completely crushed and nearly ripped off, my face was busted up and my hip was turned inside out. I spent a long time in the hospital, had a lot of grueling operations and went through pain like you probably can’t imagine. My Foot began to rot from the inside out and it looked like my Doctors, Roni and Sami Sehayik, were going to have to amputate it. That day as I lay there in my Hospital bed I humbly asked God to "please let me keep my Foot so I could go hunting and fishing". Wow! He SO answered my prayer. The road to recovery was not an easy one by any stretch of the imagination, but I made it and through it all my Mom Never left my side. Week after Week after Week, she never left. Every night she would hold my hand and pray with me then go to sleep on a cot on the left side of my bed. “Thank You Momma”

Dad, he was like the ole' ball Coach, Steve Spurrier. No Matter what you did, you probably could have done it a little better. Dang! Do I appreciate that now! He is a Heck of a Deer Hunter. "Can hardly read the menu at a restaurant without his glasses but can see a drop of blood with a half dead flashlight from 10 yards away" When we were kids dad would always take us hunting with him and his friends. He was never into going to bars and parties he just spent with us. To this day I can remember so many of the things he taught me. Just the other day while hunting in Illinois and I remembered him telling me a story about if a Big Tree is Hooked up only on one side it is more than likely a dominant buck... and if you step back and look at his "Rub line" you can figure out what direction he uses that trail... Duh! then you can properly set up how you walk in to your stand and how to manipulate wind direction. Worked out pretty well on that hunt! Got a 163inch Perfectly Symmetrical 10 point with my bow. 11 yard shot all on video. Oh! but how funny is it now when he says things like "You need to Put your Scent-Lok in the Dryer and don't take it out of the bag and put it on till your away from the truck in the woods".... No Joke Dad! but thanks for the reminder. Our Conversation is so cool, last year we drove all the way to Illinois and back without ever turning on the radio. I didn't always like what he had to say but he is my Dad and times like that are worth more than anything in the world to me.

Over the past several years I have had plenty of ups and plenty of downs but through it all I have had a charmed and blessed life. The last seven years I have worked as the Captain on a 56foot sport fishing boat Called the "Reel Justice" I learned and fine tuned many of my big game fishing skills while traveling all over the eastern seaboard, much of the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal and up to Costa Rica where I was based out of the Beautiful Los Suenos Resort and Marina for two and a half years.

Then, about 3 years ago I was asked to be a member of the Popular fishing show "Reel Adventures" it was a dream come true. With them I was able to travel to many of my dream destinations and learn more than I ever imagined about Big Game Sport Fishing. More Importantly I learned how much I enjoyed making TV shows. It quickly became my mission in life to start a show that was completely new.
Respect Outdoors was soon all I could think about. The Name is the basis for my entire idea. We are a show that is committed to honesty, loyalty and Respect! Respect for the environment, Respect for the game we hunt and the fish we catch. Respect for our viewers and Respect for our sponsors. Respect Outdoors was designed to be a completely new concept. Very few Commercials! The show is 28 minutes and 40 seconds of action. If you see a product on our show, it is because we truly believe in that product. I will not use anything I am not 100% convinced is the best for what I am using it for. I push it to the very edge in everything I do and there is no room for error. If it is on the show, I believe in it! and so can you!
Thank You so much for taking the time to read this. I have poured my heart out making the very best show possible. Please send us an email letting us know what you think. If you believe we could be doing something better than we are, let us know. If not for you, our viewing audience, there would be no reason to have a show. We hope you tune in each and every week as we bring you the outdoors in a whole new way.

TGBTG,

Robert Arrington
